Strike Force Flyball Racing Club is hosting a seminar featuring Dr. Jen Powers, DVM Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Haven umane in Redding. Haven Humane is located at 7449 Eastside Road in Redding.

Dr. Jen Powers has specialized in dog sports and acupuncture. She has been working with dog owners and handlers for years, helping to prepare dogs for active sports by addressing their special nutritional needs and other health issues. This is an excellent opportunity to address concerns relating to your athletic dog. Questions are encouraged!

Dr. Jen will be covering Nutrition; Preparing For Your Sport; Injury Prevention, Canine CPR, Canine First Aid, and Post Competition Care. Dogs competing in Flyball, Dock Jumping, Agility, Disc Dogs, Schutzhund, Lure Coursing, Dirt Dogs, Herding, Conformation, and working dogs such as Police K-9s and SAR dogs are all encouraged to attend.

Tickets are $40.00 and are on sale now. Call me at 241-5031. Happy Tails Barkery on Hartnell will have tickets available starting April 1. Seating is
very limited! Refreshments will be served.

Mark your calendars! I am excited to announce the offering of a Tricks Class, to be held at RDA, Anderson, CA, June 3, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. I have attached the flier for your review.

The class will be taught by Guest Instructor, Chere McMillan, CPDT (certified pet dog trainer), and the registration fee is $60 for the four-week class.

As always, pre-registration/pre-payment will hold your space in class. Class size is limited, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Based upon response to this notification, another class may be held to accommodate all who wish to attend.

Checks should be made out to "Chere McMillin", and mailed here to RiverDog along with your Class Application. Please just write in "Tricks Class" in the upper margin of the application.

WOOFSTOCK Music Festival
A benefit for Another Chance Animal Welfare League, Inc,
A 501(c)3 nonprofit charity.

Another Chance is partnering with the City of Anderson
on this first ever benefit concert for the animals in Shasta County!

The concert is AUGUST 23, 2008 and starts at noon - 10:00 p.m.
GREAT MUSIC - GREAT FOOD - GREAT CAUSE!

The concert will be located in the Gaia Hotel Amphitheatre,
in Anderson River Park (same place as the Mosquito Serenade)

Tickets are $15 each. Only 2,000 will be sold.
