UAN At Love Your Pet Expo

Christina gave a very informative talk on disaster preparedness for animals.

She brought lots of handouts to share. If you missed her presentation, you can still read the info online.
Founded in 1987, United Animal Nations (UAN) is recognized
as North America’s leading provider of emergency animal
sheltering and disaster relief services and a key advocate for the
critical needs of animals.
Through the volunteer-driven Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS), UAN can shelter, rescue and reunite animals displaced by natural disasters and other crises. UAN currently has more than 3,000 EARS volunteers in the United States and Canada.
Through
LifeLine, UAN offers funding to rescue groups, good Samaritans, small
non-profit organizations and others to help them obtain lifesaving
veterinary care for animals.
UAN's Premarin Awareness Campaign educates people about hormone therapy drugs made from pregnant mares' urine (PMU) and connects the mares and their byproduct foals with new homes.
UAN's advocacy efforts for companion animals improves their welfare by advancing legal reform and educating the public on important issues.
