Blinker's Story
Blinker's News
I have been having so much fun at the sanctuary. I went to the Expo this year and learned to paw paint, wow I had so much fun with the paint, the only draw back was I didn’t get dirty enough.
I went to puppy class with Lynn at River Dog and graduated with the rest of my class. I received a diploma and every thing.
A few weeks later I went to Manors class with Lynn. I love her but I didn’t understand because I thought my manors where fine. Whats wrong with jumping on people to let them know how much I love them? I did well at manors and received another diploma--I am getting so smart. I will go on to Manors & More in the spring so I can show off how good I am in public. I can’t wait until next year at the Expo so I can use my education.
Blinker's History
On March 23, 2011, Katie Ball received a phone call from Ken Smith, Director of Animal Control, Del Norte County California. When Ken came to work one morning, after a horrendous thunderstorm, he found a blind puppy left tied to the gate. The pup was cold, wet, and scared.
The last time something like this happened, it took many emails, phone calls and pleas for help, for Katie and Ken to get together. The result was Marley. Now they both know the drill. Blinker was neutered and given a complete vet check, then Ken and Katie met at the usual place, about halfway between Crescent City and Redding, where Blinker and Katie fell in love. After that, Blinker traveled to his forever home at the Love Your Pet Expo Sanctuary.
Here are some photos of Blinker. Ken's best guess is that he was about 3 months old, here, and probably catahoula (Louisiana cur).
Our sanctuary runs on donations.
